The Year of the Water Rabbit is considered to be the luckiest of the 12 animal years. In Chinese culture, the rabbit is seen as gentle, lucky, and adaptive. In American culture, the rabbit is also a sign of good luck, in addition to rebirth, fertility, and abundance.
The attributes of the rabbit provide some really solid ideas for us to apply to ourselves in the coming months. I am consciously being gentler to Me this year; specifically, with “self-talk”. I am choosing my silent words to gas myself up rather than to criticize. I can see where doing this will make me more adaptive, and in turn, I will draw more abundance.
Some Feng Shui experts have chosen Forest Green as the lucky color of 2023. The color is historic, grounded, nurturing, and firm. Pantone (with headquarters in Carlstadt, NJ) has chosen Viva Magenta as its color of the year. It is a “hue with a lust for life, an unconventional shade for an unconventional time.”
The colors of the Higher Self logo reflect these two colors of the year. The Higher Self logo of a pink heart sprouting a goddess-like crown of green leaves. We are on point with the colors and with our intentions. We curate each box with these colors in mind. With our Forest Green, we nurture our clients, supporting cannabis use, and choosing pieces that have a bit of a twist in their beauty. Like Viva Magenta, we add a little bit of the uncommon, sending out reading material and accessories to spark something special.
There is a superstition that repeating the word rabbit twice will give you good luck. If you say “Rabbit Rabbit” on the first day of the month, before any other words come out of your mouth, luck is yours for that month. It’s worth a try but it doesn’t seem that easy to do. Might sound something like this on the morning of February 1, “Rabbit Rabbit, want to wake and bake?”

Let’s get even higher together, in the Year of the Water Rabbit. And remember, loud and clear first thing on the first of EVERY month,
“Rabbit Rabbit, pass that joint already”.
